PADMINI EKDASHI -

Padmini Ekadashi is falling during Chhath month.  Leap month is also known as Adhi month, Malamas and Purushottam month.  Ekadashi which comes during the Shukla Paksha of Adika month, we know it as Padmini Ekadashi.  We know this Ekadashi as Adi Mas Ekadashi.

PADMINI EKADASHI PUJA AND FASTING METHOD

 ● Wake up in the morning and worship Lord Vishnu methodically.
 ● Recite Vishnu Purana by observing Nirjala fast
 ● Awakening at night while performing Bhajan Kirtan
 ● Worship Lord Vishnu and God of God Mahadev every hour at night
 ● Present different offerings to God in each 

● Worship God in the morning on Dwadashi .

 ● After feeding the Brahmin, send them off with Dakshina
 ● After this, eat yourself.


PADMINI EKADASHI FAST STORY 

In Treta Yuga there was a mighty king named Ketravirya. This king had many queens, but the king does not receive a son from any queen. The king used to be very sad due to being childless. The king went to austerities with his queens to get children. He did penance for thousands of years but did not get any result, then finally the king invoked Goddess Anusuiya and asked him the solution to his trouble. Devi suggested him to observe the Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha in Mal Maas.
                           Goddess Anusuiya asked the king's wife to observe Ekadashi fast. According to the legislation of Anasuya Devi, the queen followed the Padmini Ekadashi fast. At the end of the fast God appears and asks to ask for a boon. The queen said to the Lord - If you are happy with me, then give me a boon that I may have a son who is full of all virtues and is famous in all the three worlds which no one in the whole world can defeat. God said that your wish will be fulfilled and God has become invisible. After some time, the queen gave birth to a son, known as Kartavirya Arjuna . Over time, this child later defeated a powerful warrior like Ravana.
                           It is believed that Lord Krishna first made Arjuna aware of its importance by narrating the story of Purushottama Ekadashi fast.
